MLB Note - Los Angeles Angels Kinsler, Ian
Dec 14, 2017 - 9:31 AM 2B Ian Kinsler was acqured by the Angels from the Tigers on Wednesday for a pair of minor-leaguers.Kinsler will be a free agent after the 2018 season, and the Angels are expected to assume all of the remaining $11 million on his contract. Kinsler, 35, spent the last four seasons with Detroit, which acquired him from the Texas Rangers for Prince Fielder in November 2013. Last season, he batted a career-worst .236 with 22 homers and 52 RBIs in 139 games. Despite the low batting average, Kinsler was among five second basemen to hit 20 homers and 25 doubles and score 90 runs.
He agreed to drop his no-trade clause to move to the Angels.
