MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks for Friday, June 24 (2022)

What better way to start the weekend than looking at some exciting upcoming series. We had to give you some action for the most anticipated series for the weekend as we could very well see the rematch in October, and we also have some lopsided pitching matchups today that we need to take advantage of.

Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees

• Leg 1: Under 8 (-120)
• Leg 2: Justin Verlander over 6.5 strikeouts (-110)
• Leg 3:  Luis Severino under 5.5 strikeouts per game (-156)
• Leg 4: Michael Brantley to record a hit (-250)

Astros vs. Yankees is the most exciting series of the weekend, thanks to the recent past between these teams, and because this could be a playoff preview.

Justin Verlander has gone vintage and looks as dominant as his days in Detroit, where he won a Cy Young and MVP in the same season. He has 10 quality starts, is he’s fifth in ERA (2.30) and second in WHIP (0.887). His history shows the potential for another quality start as  DJ LeMathieu is the only player on this roster that is [hitting over .250 with more than 20 at-bats against Verlander.

Luis Severino comes in with five quality starts in his last six with a 2.65 ERA, with opposing batters hitting .168 in those starts. The Astros have fared better against Sev, with Michael Brantley hitting .313 with a home run and Jose Altuve hitting .333 with a home run.

This will be a fun matchup with two outstanding pitchers at the top of their game against two top teams.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Chicago White Sox

• Leg 1: White Sox -1.5 (+106)
• Leg 2: Over 8.5 (-120)
• Leg 3:  Chicago 1st half ML (-145)
• Leg 4: Over 0.5 runs in the first inning (-113)

The White Sox are starting to turn things around as the offense is hitting much better over the last couple of weeks and are beginning to climb back into the division.

Michael Kopech will be on the mound, and in his first season as a full-time starter, he’s been excelling with a 2.38 ERA, 0.988 WHIP, and just 4.9 hits per nine. Baltimore has been struggling on the road over the last couple of weeks as they are 19th with a .231 average and a .288 on-base percentage since June 10.

Kyle Bradish, a top 10 prospect, has been struggling badly since coming to the bigs. With a 7.38 ERA, he’s in the tenth percentile or lower in Average Exit Velocity, Hard Hit Percentage, xERA, xSLG, Barrel Percentage and hasn’t recorded a win since May 10. The White Sox have been the best offense at home since June 10 with an MLB-best .311 avg, .374 OBP, and .384 BABIP.

Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals

• Leg 1: Cardinals ML (-166)
• Leg 2: Over 9 (-110)
• Leg 3: Under 0.5 runs in the first inning (-102)

The Cardinals are on an uptrend right now, especially with the power-hitting that was their weak point for most of the season. Over their last ten games, they have the third-most home runs (16), fourth in slugging (.484), and third in wRC+ (134).

Another player recently excelling is Neil Pallante. Since moving into the rotation, he’s done well, allowing just three runs in 15 innings. One of those starts came against the Cubs, where he allowed one run on four hits in the no-decision.

The Cubs will counter with Kyle Hendricks, who has consistently yet to pitch well this season. He’s coming off another rough start where he allowed six earned runs in a loss to Atlanta.

Hendricks has already allowed 13 home runs this season, and wIth the Cardinals’ power breaking out, we should Hendricks get lit up.
