MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks for Wednesday, July 6 (2022)

Yesterday, our three Same-Game Parlays fell short by one leg in every single one of them. Let’s try to rewrite the script today and find a winner.

Here are three different Same-Game Parlays to consider for today’s slate in the MLB.

Texas Rangers vs. Baltimore Orioles

• Leg 1: Anthony Santander 2+ Total Bases (+115)
• Leg 2: Adley Rutschman 2+ Total Bases (+115)
• Leg 3: Adolis Garcia 2+ Total Bases (+105)

The total has hit 10 in the Orioles and Rangers game tonight. Last night, there was plenty of offense, and tonight shouldn’t be different.

Glenn Otto will take the mound for the Rangers. The right-hander has had an 8.84 xFIP in the last 30 days. In those 30 days, he’s faced 31 batters, so it’s a solid enough sample size.

Otto has struck out just 6.5% of plate appearances of those 31 batters and has walked 19.4% of plate appearances of those 31 batters.

The middle of the Orioles’ lineup has a ton of power and should be able to get to Otto in this one. Anthony Santander has a .227 ISO with 25% of line drives hit against righties in the last 30 days when a ball is batted into play.

Meanwhile, Adley Rutschman has a .286 ISO with a wOBA of .369 against righties in the last 30 days. He’s also hitting many line drives against righties in the same time frame.

Lastly, Spenser Watkins will take the hill for the Orioles. He’s been better than Otto but still has a 4.93 xFIP in the last 30 days while allowing 25.6% of line drives when a ball is batted into play. Adolis Garcia of the Rangers has a .287 ISO and wOBA of .392 against righties through his last 95 plate appearances. He could absolutely go yard.

Los Angeles Angels vs. Miami Marlins

• Leg 1: Shohei Ohtani Over 7.5 K’s (+112)
• Leg 2: Taylor Ward 2+ Total Bases (-105)
• Leg 3: Mike Trout 1+ Hit (-195)

I’m all in on the Angels tonight. The Angels will pitch Shohei Ohtani, who has been remarkable as of late. He has an xFIP of 2.37 in the last 30 days and continues to rack up the strikeouts in the same time frame. He’s now struck out 36.4% of plate appearances in the last 30 days and will take on a Marlins lineup that has struck out 23.3% of the time against righties in the same time frame.

Ohtani will get his strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Trevor Rogers will get the start for the Marlins tonight. The left-hander has an xFIP of 4.77 in the last 30 days and has allowed a ton of line-drive contact to go with it.

The Angels haven’t been electric offensively against anyone right now, but Taylor Ward has a .238 ISO and wOBA of .363 against lefties in the last 30 days. He’s one bat to look out for.

Meanwhile, Mike Trout could also get going against the lefty, hitting a .176 ISO and wOBA of .330 in the last 30 days.

Kansas City Royals vs. Houston Astros

• Leg 1: Yordan Alvarez 2+ Total Bases (-115)
• Leg 2: Alex Bregman 2+ Total Bases (+130)
• Leg 3: Kyle Tucker 2+ Total Bases (+105)

The Astros are becoming the most elite offense in baseball. After scoring nine runs yesterday, the Astros just continue to produce.

Tonight, the Astros will take on Brad Keller, known for allowing a ton of contact. He’s struck out 21.5% of plate appearances in the last 30 days, but ultimately. he’s a ground ball pitcher who also allows plenty of line-drive contact.

The Astros have a stack in the middle of the order that includes Yordan Alvarez, Alex Bregman, and Kyle Tucker. Each of those three bats has hit righties very well recently.

Alvarez has a .472 ISO and wOBA of .547 in the last 30 days. Bregman has a .200 ISO with a wOBA of .381 in the same 30 days, and Tucker has a .193 ISO and a wOBA of .337. None of these guys have struck out more than 16% of the time against righties in the last 30 days.

Astros hitters will put the ball in play, and those hits could easily result in extra-base hits against Keller.
