The Padres have the most insane roster I’ve ever seen in the game of baseball. I’m not even joking. But that doesn’t mean they’ll automatically win the title.

Anyway, Joe Musgrove, who just signed a five-year extension, will take the hill for the Padres. He is striking out 22.2% of batters in the last 30 days and will now face a Rockies lineup that has struck out 24.3% of the time against righties in that same time frame. There are plenty of opportunities for Musgrove to get seven strikeouts.

On the other hand, Kyle Freeland will take the hill for the Rockies. The lefty has actually been worse against lefties, allowing a .328 wOBA and ISO of .167 against Freeland. Righties also have a .163 ISO against Freeland.

Juan Soto will be one of two lefties in the lineup. Tonight could be the night where he produces for San Diego. On the other hand, Brandon Drury just hit a grand slam for the Padres last night and looks very comfortable at the plate.

Betting on the Padres seems like the smart move literally every night now.
