The A’s have struggled all season, and Rodon’s strikeout abilities, which include the seven-highest strikeout rate (23.8%), should have the Oakland lineup walking away empty-handed.

It’s been a tough season for Adam Oller. He’s moved back and forth from Triple-A to Oakland, and the A’s have experimented with him from the rotation to the bullpen, and now he is back as a starter.
