MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (9/21)

We came close to hitting a Same-Game Parlay yesterday. But a couple of our bets fell one leg short.

Today’s a new day, and we’re on the same mission. The goal is to hit at least one same-game parlay. If we can do that, we’ll earn money for the night. Here are three Same-Game Parlays to consider for Wednesday’s MLB slate.

Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers

• Leg 1: Mark Mathias 2+ Total Bases (+105)
• Leg 2: Adolis Garcia 2+ Total Bases (+105)
• Leg 3: Josh Jung 1+ Hit (-200)

The Angels will pitch Tucker Davidson for tonight’s game against the Rangers. Davidson is a left-handed pitcher with a 6.47 xFIP in the last 30 days. He’s struggled against lefties a little bit but has faced way more righties over the previous month.

Against his last 70 righties, Davidson has allowed a .384 wOBA and ISO of .217. Meanwhile, the middle of the Texas lineup is slugging against lefties.

Adolis Garcia is hitting a .282 ISO with a wOBA of .357 in his last 43 plate appearances against lefties. Mark Mathias has also hit a .259 ISO with a wOBA of .375 last month against lefties. Lastly, Josh Jung has hit a .421 ISO with a wOBA of .423 in his previous 19 plate appearances against lefties.

The Rangers, as a team, are hitting a wOBA of .344 against lefties over the last month using their projected lineup. The offense should get going against Los Angeles tonight.

Parlay Odds: +530 via FanDuel

San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies

• Leg 1: Brandon Crawford 1+ Hit (-260)
• Leg 2: LaMonte Wade 2+ Total Bases (-110)
• Leg 3: Joc Pederson 2+ Total Bases (+100)

The Giants are playing in Coors Field, going up against German Marquez. Marquez has a 5.43 xFIP and struck out just 17.2% of batters in the last 30 days.

Lefties are currently hitting a .391 wOBA and ISO of .339 against Marquez in that same time frame.

Although LaMonte Wade has a low ISO of .036 over his last 61 plate appearances against righties, production will come. He’s hit 31.7% of line drives and 51.2% of fly balls against righties in those 61 plate appearances. The lefty should have success in tonight’s game.

The same should be valid for other lefties like Joc Pederson and Brandon Crawford. Pederson has a .280 ISO with a wOBA of .416 over his last 56 plate appearances against righties, while Crawford is hitting 28.1% of line drives against righties in the previous month.

Let’s roll with the Giants’ lefties.

 Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

• Leg 1: Trea Turner 2+ Total Bases (-160)
• Leg 2: Mookie Betts 2+Total Bases  (-140)
• Leg 3: Justin Turner 2+ Total Bases  (+100)

It’ll be Madison Bumgarner on the mound for the Diamondbacks tonight. The left-handed pitcher has a 6.02 xFIP over the last 30 days and struck out just 10.5% of batters.

He’s giving up nearly 30% of line drives when the ball is batted into play over the last month and has struggled against righties and lefties throughout the month.

He’s faced way more righties and is allowing a .429 wOBA and ISO of .319 against his last 78 righties. Therefore, we’ll look at the powerful righties in the Los Angeles lineup to select.

Mookie Betts has a .556 ISO and wOBA of .504 in his last 20 plate appearances against lefties. Meanwhile, Trea Turner has a .250 ISO with a wOBA of .376 in his previous 24 plate appearances against lefties.

Finally, Justin Turner is hitting a .333 ISO with a wOBA of .567 against his last 20 lefties.

All three of those hitters have been scorching hot against lefties. They’ve got great matchups and should continue to do their thing.
