Mar 31, 2009 - 1:50 AM KISSIMMEE, Florida (Ticker) -- Jimmy Rollins led off the game with his first home run of the spring and Ryan Howard belted his major league-best ninth as the Philadelphia Phillies pounded the Houston Astros, 13-3, on Monday in Grapefruit League play.

Chan Ho Park, trying to secure the No. 5 spot in the Phillies' rotation, allowed two runs - one earned - and six hits over five innings. Houston starter Mike Hampton was hammered for seven runs in five frames.

At Lake Buena Vista, the Atlanta Braves rallied for single runs in the bottom of the ninth and 10th innings for a 4-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. Boston starter Daisuke Matsuzaka allowed two runs - one earned - and two hits over five innings in his first appearance since returning from the World Baseball Classic.

At Lee County, Florida, Glen Perkins scattered four hits in six scoreless frames, lifting the Minnesota Twins to a 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

At Dunedin, Florida, Andy Pettitte yielded one run and five hits over 6 2/3 innings and Mark Teixeira drove in two runs in the New York Yankees' 3-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

At Jupiter, Florida, Joel Pineiro tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits, and Colby Rasmus scored the winning run on a throwing error in the bottom of the ninth to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 2-1 victory over the Florida Marlins.

At Viera, Florida, Ryan Raburn and Clete Thomas homered in a three-run third inning that carried the Detroit Tigers to a 3-2 win over the Washington Nationals.

At Bradenton, Florida, Ross Ohlendorf allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings as the Pittsburgh Pirates scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to edge the Cincinnati Reds, 3-2.

At Port St. Lucie, Florida - Daniel Murphy homered and Oliver Perez pitched 6 2/3 strong innings as the New York Mets edged the Baltimore Orioles, 2-1.
