Apr 1, 2009 - 8:55 PM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Mark Teixeira homered and had three RBI as the New York Yankees clinched this year's Grapefruit League title with an 8-5 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.

CC Sabathia, making his final spring start before Opening Day, allowed two runs in 3 2/3 innings for the Yankees, who finished the spring with a Grapefruit League-best 22-10-1 record.

Jayson Werth belted his sixth homer of the spring for the reigning World Series champion Phillies.

At Port Charlotte, Florida - James Shield pitched four innings and Gabe Gross homered, leading the Tampa Bay Rays to a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins.
