UFC Fight Night: Amanda Lemos vs. Jessica Andrade Parlay (2022)

A week removed from yet another great night of fights, the UFC returns to the Apex in Las Vegas, NV, for another great night of action. Serving as the headliner will be a pair of women straw-weights as Amanda Lemos, and Jessica Andrade go at it in the main event.

Streamed in its entirety on ESPN+, let’s take a closer look at the main and co-main events for UFC Fight Night: Lemos vs. Andrade.

Leg #1. Amanda Lemos (+175 at DK Sportsbook)

In a catch-weight fight between these two, Andrade, who is the #1 contender in the flyweight division, will be coming down to fight Lemos. Even still. Lemos will have a significant size advantage in this fight, and while she doesn’t have the fight history to get respect in this line, I think she still is closer to even money to get it done.

She more than makes up for what she lacks on the ground in striking, coming into this fight with a 62% significant striking accuracy. With just six fights in the UFC as of this fight, Lemos is still a relative unknown, and I think that changes Saturday with the first signature win of her career.

Leg #2.  Claudio Puelles (-105 at DK Sportsbook)

In a passing of the guard type co-main, a pair of unranked lightweights in Clay Guida and Claudio Puelles will go at it. For Guida, his time in the UFC has been legendary, joining in 2006 and picking up wins against Nate Diaz, Anthony Pettis, and BJ Penn along the way. At 40 years old, however, his best days are well behind him, coming into this fight having lost three of his past five.

On the other end of this fight, 26-year-old Puelles comes into this fight with just four appearances in the UFC, accruing a record of 4-0, finishing two of those fights inside the distance.  What he lacks in volume in striking, he more than makes up for in accuracy. Coming into Saturday, he’s 50% more accurate than Guida, with a significant striking accuracy clip of 66%. He has also proven more lethal on the ground, currently possession a submission average per 15 minutes of .96.
