Wright's three-point barrage lifts Warriors over Minnesota

Nov 28, 2010 - 4:33 AM Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Dorell Wright scored a career-high 30 points and set a franchise record with nine three-pointers as Golden State topped Minnesota, 104-94, at the Target Center.

Monta Ellis added a double-double with 26 points and 10 assists while Stephen Curry finished with 20 points and seven assists for the Warriors, who snapped a five-game skid.

David Lee, who made his return to the Warriors after missing eight games with an elbow injury, added 10 points and six rebounds.

"He's a big facilitator for our team," said Warriors head coach Keith Smart about Lee. "He does so many more things for our team than just his points and rebounds. He's a communicator and it was great getting him back."

Michael Beasley led the Timberwolves with 28 points and Kevin Love filled the stat sheet with 21 points and 22 rebounds for Minnesota, which has dropped four straight.

Luke Ridnour added 16 points and Darko Milicic contributed nine points and seven rebounds in defeat.

Wright went 5-for-5 from beyond the arc in the third, helping Golden State outscore the Timberwolves by a 36-17 margin in the quarter. As a result, the Warriors took an 84-68 advantage to the fourth.

"[Golden State] shot really well," said Minnesota forward Anthony Tolliver. "That's the danger in playing a team like that. They moved the ball around really well and they made the shots they needed. We just have to be better at making adjustments individually and as a team."

A Reggie Williams jumper opened the fourth quarter and stretched the Warriors' lead to a game-high 18. The Timberwolves chipped away and were within 92-84 on Milicic's layup with seven minutes to play.

The Warriors responded with a Lee layup and Ellis jumper, and Golden State led by at least nine the rest of the way.

Golden State held a 28-26 advantage after a back-and-forth first quarter.

Ellis scored 11 in the second, but the Timberwolves used a balanced attack to take a 51-48 lead into the locker room.
