Anthony went 11-of-19 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc for the Knicks, who went 3-2 on a five-game road trip and remain one game back of the Hawks for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
"This was a very important win for us tonight," Anthony said. "Just to bounce back from last night and to gain some momentum and build on that momentum, and build on that win."
Tyson Chandler added 15 points, nine boards and two blocks for New York. J.R. Smith and Raymond Felton donated 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Gordon Hayward ended with 18 points for the Jazz, who have lost five in a row. Alec Burks had 17 points and seven rebounds and Derrick Favors added 13 points and 13 boards.
Utah ended the first quarter on a 9-2 spurt to take a 27-21 lead into the second.
The Jazz held a 40-30 margin midway through the second, but the Knicks went on an 8-0 run. Chandler tallied five points during the flurry to get New York within two.
The Knicks kept it close and cut the gap to 49-48 on Smith's 3-pointer with 0.5 seconds left in the half.
Trailing 55-52 early in the third stanza, New York put together an 11-0 run. The visitors made a trio of 3-pointers during the spurt to take a 63-55 lead with 6:59 remaining.
After the Jazz fought back and tied the game at 67, the Knicks ended the frame on a 12-2 run. Anthony tallied seven points during the burst, including a 3- pointer with 38.9 seconds left for a 79-69 edge.
"Execution offensively. For whatever reason we didn't figure out the way they were guarding our plays and too many turnovers," Hayward said.
