Jordan, Clippers down Wolves

Apr 1, 2014 - 4:39 AM Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - DeAndre Jordan pulled down 24 rebounds to go along with 11 points and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 114-104, on Monday night.

Darren Collison had 28 points and seven assists, while Chris Paul added 22 points, nine helpers and three steals for the Clippers, who have won three in a row and five of their last six.

Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford were held out of the game due to injuries.

"We said, 'No excuses,'" Paul said of the injuries.

Kevin Love tallied 20 points and 13 rebounds for Minnesota, which has dropped two straight and five of its last seven.

"We're a little beat up right now, but we still have to come and play and try to give it our best. But that's a very good team right there," Love said.

After Ricky Rubio knocked down a 3-pointer to get the Wolves within 63-62 with 7:51 left in the third, the Clippers used a 25-2 run to seize control of the contest.

Collison put in nine points during the surge, including a layup to cap it and give LA a healthy 88-64 advantage.

The Clippers took an 88-66 lead into the fourth, where they cruised to the easy triumph.

Earlier, the Clippers led 26-22 after a quarter of play and 54-51 at the break.
