Nets edge Thunder

Nov 22, 2014 - 5:47 AM Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Reggie Jackson's last-second 3-pointer rimmed out, and the Brooklyn Nets survived with a 94-92 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Brooklyn trailed by 10 late in the third quarter, but a 12-0 run that extended into the fourth made it a 76-74 game. A 10-0 run later in the fourth gave the Nets a seven-point lead, but Jackson and the Thunder mounted a final rally.

"All those buckets were huge," Nets coach Lionel Hollins said of the 10-0 surge.

Jackson scored six of Oklahoma City's last nine points, with Anthony Morrow supplying the other three on a triple with just under two minutes to play. Jackson's layup with 5.5 seconds left made it 93-92, and Joe Johnson split a pair of free throws at the other end.

Out of a timeout, Jackson isolated at the top of the key and pulled the trigger, only to have his potential game-winner fall out. Kevin Garnett secured the rebound, and the game.

"I thought he could have had an opportunity to drive, but he did get a good look," OKC coach Scott Brooks said.

Jarrett Jack scored a game-high 23 off the bench to lead the Nets, who snapped a five-game losing skid. Deron Williams and Brook Lopez supplied 17 and 16, respectively.

Jackson's 21 points and eight assists weren't enough for OKC, which lost for the fifth straight game.

The Thunder landed the first blow after shooting 12-for-18 in the first quarter. They led by as many as nine points on a number of occasions and took a 27-21 lead into the second.

Garnett tied it at 33-apiece early in the second with a long two, but Morrow's 3 at 4:58 capped another flurry that gave the Thunder a 47-38 lead.

It was 53-49 at halftime.

Serge Ibaka scored 10 of his 16 points in the third, but Brooklyn won the stanza by a point after limiting the rest of the Thunder to 11 points on 5- of-15 shooting.

Game Notes

Ibaka and Lopez both had 10 rebounds for their respective teams ... Andre Roberson made his first start since Nov. 3 for the Thunder. He missed eight games with a foot injury and came off the bench on Wednesday in his return.
