Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Lowry keeps playing at an All-Star level, and the Raptors keep winning.

Lowry posted 30 points and 11 assists and Toronto took down the Denver Nuggets 116-102 on Sunday at Pepsi Center.

Louis Williams chimed in with 31 points off the bench for the Raptors, winners in eight of their last nine games.

"Lou's defense was pretty good, too," said Raptors coach Dwane Casey.

The Eastern Conference leaders only committed six turnovers as a team.

Ty Lawson paced Denver with 28 points and seven assists. Wilson Chandler tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds and Kenneth Faried had a big night, scoring 17 points to go along with 19 boards.

Nate Robinson hit a stepback jumper to open the fourth and give the Nuggets an 89-88 lead. Lowry countered with a 3 at the other end, and the Raptors led from there.

Chandler made it a one-point game with a short jumper with 7 1/2 minutes to play, but Williams hit a pair of free throws and a 3-ball at the other end. Lowry then rebounded a Lawson missed 3-pointer and made a pair at the line, then Williams found Amir Johnson for a dunk. Denver took a timeout trailing 104-94.

"We had it. It was 95-94, then they went on a little spurt," said Lawson. "We have to be able to lock down and defend. That's the main thing we're not doing, that's why we're not winning games."

Johnson's hook shot at 3:30 gave Toronto a 111-100 lead, and it held on from there.

After a back-and-forth opening period, the Raptors controlled the second and led by as many as 13 points before a late rally had Denver within two late in the first half. It was 60-54 at halftime.

The third quarter featured six more lead changes. Robinson's jumper with three seconds left had the Nuggets within 88-87 heading into the fourth.

Toronto shot 10-for-23 from behind the arc ... Toronto's six-game road trip continues on Tuesday in Portland ... Denver has lost three of four ... Both teams scored 48 points in the paint.
