Randolph, Grizzlies rout Nuggets

Jan 30, 2015 - 7:14 AM Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Fresh off an All-Star snub, Zach Randolph continued to let his game speak for itself.

And another double-double followed.

Randolph had 15 points and 17 rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies routed the Denver Nuggets 99-69 on Thursday night.

It was Randolph's 11th straight double-double

Jeff Green netted 13 points, while Marc Gasol added 10 points and seven rebounds for Memphis, which has won eight of its last nine games since Green was traded to the Grizzlies from the Boston Celtics two weeks ago.

"Defensively, I thought we have taken another notch," Gasol said.

Mike Conley, who was another snub on the Western squad, sat for a second consecutive game due to a wrist sprain.

Kenneth Faried posted 10 points and seven boards for the Nuggets, who have dropped eight of their last nine contests.

"I didn't feel like we came and competed from the very beginning of the game," Denver coach Brian Shaw said.

Beno Udrih netted seven quick points, while Green and Randolph added four apiece as the Grizzlies raced out to a 19-9 start and never looked back.

Memphis put in the final seven points of the opening frame and led 26-11 following a quarter of play.

The Grizzlies were up 50-35 at the break and built their lead as high as 27 in the third before going into the fourth with a 74-49 cushion.

Memphis cruised to the easy triumph over the final 12 minutes.
