Grizzlies continue to roll with win over Pistons

Nov 16, 2014 - 7:06 AM Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Marc Gasol had 23 points and eight rebounds in the Memphis Grizzlies' 95-88 win over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.

Zach Randolph added 17 points and 22 rebounds for the Grizzlies (9-1), who have won a franchise-record 19 consecutive regular season home games. Mike Conley and Courtney Lee tallied 18 and 12 points, respectively.

"(Zach) works real hard," Gasol said. "He's points and rebounds because he works real hard. He deserves it."

Kyle Singler made five 3-pointers en route to 21 points for the Pistons, who have lost four of five. Greg Monroe had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

"They're a good team but we didn't play perfect," said Singler. "If we would have played a little bit better, we would have been right there."

Trailing 9-7, the Grizzlies scored seven straight points to grab the lead. They led 25-15 after 12 minutes of action.

The Pistons outscored Memphis by a 34-26 margin in the second stanza to get within 51-50 at the half.

Detroit took a 56-55 lead early in the third period, but the Grizzlies responded with a 12-2 run. Conley's 3-pointer made it 67-58 with 2:42 remaining. It was 69-64 heading to the fourth.

Memphis scored the first five points of the fourth to build a double-digit lead. Detroit never got closer than five the rest of the way.

Game Notes

The Grizzlies have won 10 straight over the Pistons ... Detroit shot 41.5 percent from the field, while Memphis made just 37.2 percent of its shots ... Brandon Jennings had 14 points for the Pistons.
