Stephen Curry had 34 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as the Warriors beat the Anthony Davis-less New Orleans Pelicans 128-122 for their 16th straight win.
The Warriors became the ninth team in NBA history to begin a season 21-2.
Klay Thompson netted 29 points, while Draymond Green added 11 points and 13 rebounds for Golden State, which has also won 10 consecutive games on the road.
"We got outplayed generally speaking ... We turned it over and didn't guard," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. "Thankfully we got really talented players and some incredibly competitive desire to win."
Tyreke Evans posted 34 points, eight rebounds and five assists and Jrue Holiday tallied 30 points, nine helpers and five steals for the Pelicans, who were without Davis due to a chest contusion suffered Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
"Our guys fought their tails off tonight, we just came up short," Pelicans coach Monty Williams said.
Curry capped an 8-1 spurt to begin overtime with a 3-pointer to stake Golden State to a 119-112 advantage and it never trailed by less than four the rest of the way.
Dante Cunningham's layup staked the Pelicans to a 107-99 advantage with 4:16 remaining in regulation before the Warriors responded with an 11-2 run to take the lead.
Marreese Speights' layup capped the surge and gave the Warriors a 110-109 edge with 1:34 left.
Evans was fouled at the other end and gave New Orleans the lead back with 1:22 to play and Curry turned the ball over on Golden State's next touch. Evans' step-back jumper from the right elbow, though, was off the mark.
Speights was fouled on a putback attempt with 43.5 seconds to go and split the pair for a 111-111 tie.
Earlier, the Pelicans led 31-28 following a quarter of play, but the Warriors outscored them 32-20 in the second and took a 60-51 cushion into the break.
New Orleans outscored Golden State 38-29 in the third and the game was tied 89-89 after three as Jeff Withey nailed two free throws in the waning seconds of the period.
Game Notes
The Warriors improved to 13-1 on the road this season ... Andrew Bogut (knee) and David Lee (hamstring) remained out for the Warriors ... Pelicans scored 23 points off 20 Golden State turnovers.
