Clippers rout Kings

Feb 22, 2015 - 6:29 AM Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Austin Rivers netted a career-high 28 points, J.J. Redick added 24 and the Los Angeles Clippers routed the Sacramento Kings 126-99 on Saturday night.

Jamal Crawford tallied 23 points and six assists, while DeAndre Jordan added 11 points and 15 rebounds for Los Angeles, which was won four straight on the heels of a four-game losing streak.

"I thought our defense was really good," said Rivers. "All of us play hard and everything comes together."

DeMarcus Cousins posted 21 points and Rudy Gay supplied 15 points and six boards for the Kings, who have dropped six of their last eight games.

"Bad offense turns into bad defense," Kings head coach George Karl said. "We got frustrated."

The Clippers trailed 29-24 following a quarter of play, but seized complete control of the contest after outscoring Sacramento 42-18 in the second.

They began the frame on a 23-4 run. Crawford netted seven points and Matt Barnes nailed a pair of 3-pointers during the surge, with his second one capping it for a 47-33 advantage a little past the midway point of the frame.

Redick knocked down a triple during the waning seconds of the period, staking LA to a 66-47 cushion at the break.

The Clippers led 97-65 after three and cruised to the easy win in the fourth.

Jordan, who was 1-of-2 from the foul line, had been sent to the charity stripe 54 times in his last two games ... The Clippers scored 27 points off 17 Sacramento turnovers ... The Kings shot just 34.1 percent from the floor (30- of-88).
