Heat dominate fourth quarter to beat Sixers

Nov 2, 2014 - 3:25 AM Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Bosh scored 30 points with eight rebounds to lead the Miami Heat to a 114-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.

Mario Chalmers came off the bench to score 20 points, Luol Deng and Shawne Williams added 15 points each, and Dwyane Wade scored nine points with 10 assists for Miami, which has won nine of its last 10 in Philadelphia.

"Everyone is getting opportunities with this offense," said Wade. "You have a guy like Mario tonight step up. Everyone is getting opportunities which is a little different than what we've had."

Tony Wroten had 21 points and 10 assists for the Sixers, who are off to an 0-3 start after opening 3-0 last year, which included a 114-110 season-opening stunner of the defending champion Heat in Philadelphia.

"Coach makes sure we're in great shape," said Wroten. " It's one thing that we will be is in shape. Just as a group it's all different things at times. It could be turnovers or could be that (3-pointer) we need to fall that isn't falling. The positive in this is to keep building as a team."

Brandon Davies netted a career-high 18 points and Hollis Thompson added 10 in the setback.

Davies split a pair of free throws to give the Sixers an 83-82 lead with just under three minutes left in the third quarter.

Miami scored the final five points of the quarter, then grabbed a double-digit lead by scoring 12 of the first 16 points in the final stanza. Chalmers scored the last eight to make it 99-87 with 6 1/2 minutes remaining.

Philadelphia was limited to 4-of-15 shooting from the field and 0-for-5 from beyond the arc in the final quarter.

It was quite the opposite for the hosts in the first quarter, as they made their first seven field goal attempts and shot 13-of-21 in the first quarter, although Miami led 32-30 at the buzzer.

Bosh's 3-pointer gave the Heat a 60-54 lead going into the locker room at halftime.
