Grizzlies use balanced attack to beat Bucks

Mar 15, 2015 - 6:07 AM Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Courtney Lee scored 17 points and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks by a 96-83 margin on Saturday night.

Zach Randolph and Jeff Green each had 15 points for the Grizzlies, who snapped a brief two-game skid. Beno Udrih tallied 14 points and Marc Gasol added 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

"We put together a better game than we have in the past," Gasol said of the performance.

Giannis Antetokounmpo ended with 19 points and six rebounds for the Bucks, who have lost eight in a row on the road. Khris Middleton and Zaza Pachulia contributed 17 and 14 points, respectively.

"We've been struggling a little bit, defensively getting stops," said Bucks coach Jason Kidd.

Milwaukee was without Michael Carter-Williams (ankle), Jared Dudley (back spasms) and Jerryd Bayless (ankle). Tyler Ennis made his first NBA start and finished with seven points and 11 assists.

Trailing 14-4, Memphis ended the first quarter on an 18-6 run to take a two- point lead.

The Grizzlies then started the second on a 7-1 spurt to make it a 29-21 contest. Memphis led by as many as 13 in the period before taking a 49-42 edge into the locker room.

Ahead 63-58, the Grizzlies ended the third stanza on a 15-3 run. Lee and Randolph both tallied six points during the surge to make it 78-61.

Memphis led by as many as 19 in the fourth.
