Unbeaten Hornets hope to sting Bucks in Brew City

Nov 6, 2010 - 2:44 PM (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets hope to build on the best start in franchise history when they take to the road to face the Milwaukee Bucks at Bradley Center.

Emeka Okafor had his way on the inside to the tune of 26 points and 13 rebounds, and Trevor Ariza hit a big three-pointer in the waning seconds last night as New Orleans topped LeBron James and the Miami Heat, 96-93.

Chris Paul added an eye-opening 19 assists to complement 13 points as the Hornets improved to 5-0. David West netted 15 points, including two clutch free throws with 7.2 seconds remaining prior to Miami's Eddie House missing a potential game-tying three at the buzzer.

"It's nice to be part of a group who plays hard every night. Different guys are stepping up," Hornets first-year head coach Monty Williams said. "I don't want to sit here and babble about something that doesn't mean anything, but I know we are a together group."

The Bucks, meanwhile, snapped a two-game skid last night in Indianapolis when John Salmons scored 22 points and made two key free throws down the stretch, as Milwaukee snuck past the Indiana Pacers, 94-90.

Brandon Jennings added 18 points for the Bucks, who won on the road for the first time this season. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, starting in place of center Andrew Bogut (migraine), tallied 10 points and 15 rebounds.

"(On the win) We needed a win. It was a big win for us," Salmons said. "We've been getting better since the season started. We knew we didn't have (Bogut) tonight and we all stepped up and got the win."

Bogut is questionable for tonight's contest.

New Orleans has taken nine of its past 10 meetings with the Bucks, including a 95-91 win in the Big Easy on Oct. 27.
