Nuggets close out road trip in Indy vs. Pacers

Nov 9, 2010 - 6:12 PM (Sports Network) - The Denver Nuggets will close out a three-game road trip tonight against the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Denver began the swing with Saturday's win at Dallas and followed that victory with Monday's 94-92 loss at Chicago.

Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 32 points and added eight rebounds for the Nuggets, who had won two straight over the Clippers and Mavericks. Arron Afflalo ended with 15 points and Chauncey Billups chipped in 14 in defeat.

"Chicago played with a passion to win the game and I thought we matched it," said Nuggets head coach George Karl.

Anthony has netted at least 20 points in each of Denver's seven games.

Meanwhile, Indiana will continue a three-game homestand Tuesday and has lost two straight since a two-game winning streak.

In Friday's 94-90 loss versus Milwaukee in the opener of the residency, Danny Granger and Darren Collison each ended with 19 points and improving big man Roy Hibbert chipped in 14 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks.

"We just didn't get the job done tonight," Hibbert said. "Coming down the stretch we were bad. I didn't clog the middle the way I should have, which hurt us."

Granger is averaging a team-high 21.4 points per game this season.

The Pacers will also host Houston at Conseco Fieldhouse. Guard Brandon Rush is eligible to return after serving a five-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Denver swept the home-and-home series with Indiana a season ago and has won 10 of the past 12 meetings. The Pacers, though, have won 10 of the previous 15 encounters as the host.
