Bucks spread the wealth, crush Knicks

Nov 10, 2010 - 6:38 AM Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Brandon Jennings led a balanced attack with 19 points and six assists, as the Milwaukee Bucks earned an easy 107-80 win over the New York Knicks at the Bradley Center.

Drew Gooden finished with 17 points and eight rebounds for Milwaukee, which had dropped three of four coming into the contest. Corey Maggette donated 14 points in the victory.

"We had good energy on both sides of the floor," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles. "It was a really good all-around effort on both ends."

Amare Stoudemire went for 19 points and Wilson Chandler had 11 for the Knicks, who suffered a 106-96 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday after winning the previous two. Raymond Felton ended with 10 points and eight assists for New York.

Jennings and Gooden paced the Bucks with 12 and 11 points, respectively in the first quarter, as Milwaukee got off to a 41-19 start after the opening 12 minutes.

"They got into us in the middle of the first quarter and they took us completely out of the game," Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni said.

The Bucks took a 64-43 advantage into the half.

In the third quarter, a Jennings jumper had the hosts in front by 22, 71-49, nearly three minutes in, but New York responded with eight unanswered points -- four by Landry Fields -- to cut the deficit to 71-57.

However, jumpers by Keyon Dooling, Maggette and a dunk by Andrew Bogut built the Bucks lead back up to 24 at 88-64 with 1:24 left in the third and they led by a 90-67 margin after three quarters of action.

Milwaukee maintained a comfortable double-digit lead for the entire fourth quarter and coasted to the easy win.

Game Notes

Milwaukee has won four straight over the Knicks and eight of nine overall...Ersan Ilyasova had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Bucks, who shot 51.3 percent from the field. The Knicks made only 37.8 percent of their shots.
