Struggling Bobcats visit stumbling Raptors

Nov 10, 2010 - 4:05 PM (Sports Network) - Two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference collide tonight at Air Canada Centre, where the host Toronto Raptors take on the Charlotte Bobcats.

Both teams enter this evening's tilt with identical 1-6 marks.

The Raptors have lost five in a row since their only win of the season on Oct. 29 versus Cleveland and are coming off Monday's 109-102 loss versus Golden State. Jarrett Jack had a team-high 24 points and eight assists for Toronto, which got 20 points and seven boards from Linas Kleiza.

"Our energy wasn't where it needed to be at the defensive end," Toronto head coach Jay Triano said. "They got some momentum and by the time we got aggressive with our defense it was too late, they already built confidence shooting the basketball."

Jack (knee) and Kleiza (Achilles) are both probable for tonight, and guard Leandro Barbosa (shoulder) is listed as questionable. After hosting the Bobcats, the Raptors will hit the road for four games at Orlando, Miami, Washington and Philadelphia.

Charlotte is mired in a three-game slide since defeating New Jersey on the road on Nov. 3 for the only win of the season.

In a 95-91 home loss versus San Antonio on Monday, Tyrus Thomas ended with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Stephen Jackson and Boris Diaw both scored 15 points in a losing effort.

"They did exactly what they wanted to do," said Charlotte's Gerald Wallace, who had just seven points. "They made a lot of three-pointers, that kind of broke our back tonight."

The Bobcats shot 39.8 percent from the field and will make a stop at the Wizards following tonight's game up north.

Toronto took two of three matchups with Charlotte last season and has won 14 of the 21 contests in this series. The Bobcats have lost seven of the 10 meetings at Air Canada Centre.
