Clippers limp into Indiana

Nov 18, 2010 - 3:57 PM (Sports Network) - The lowly Los Angeles Clippers take their losing ways to Indiana this evening for a showdown with the Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Clippers have lost seven in a row and fell to 1-11 on the season following Wednesday's 113-111 setback at Minnesota. Eric Gordon led Los Angeles with 30 points and seven assists and Blake Griffin tied a career-high with 26 points and added 17 rebounds for the Clippers, who are still searching for their first road victory in six attempts.

"We got down in the fourth and kept battling," said Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro. "We just didn't convert at the end there. We had a look at it and missed a couple of offensive rebounds.

Rookie Al-Farouq Aminu finished with 17 points and DeAndre Jordan added 11 and seven rebounds in defeat. LA has dropped 10 in a row as the visitor dating back to last season and has been plagued by injuries so far in 2010-11. Center Chris Kaman (ankle), guard Baron Davis (knee) and guard Randy Foye (hamstring) are still sidelined.

The Clippers are off to their worst start since opening the 1998-99 campaign with an 0-17 record.

Indiana, meanwhile, has alternated wins and losses over its last five games and will continue a three-game homestand Thursday.

In Tuesday's 102-92 loss versus Atlanta, Danny Granger had a team-high 22 points for the Pacers, who were coming off a 99-85 win at Cleveland on Saturday. Roy Hibbert contributed 18 points and a career-best 15 boards in a losing cause.

"We lost to a very good basketball team," Pacers head coach Jim O'Brien said after the team's second loss in a row at home. "They have a lot of weapons. They played together and they're coached well."

The Pacers will also host Orlando on the residency and are 2-3 at Conseco Fieldhouse. They hope to get guard Darren Collison back this evening, but he's expected to miss the game with a sprained left ankle. Forward Tyler Hansbrough is questionable with the same problem.

Los Angeles and Indiana have split a home-and-home series the past four years, while the Clippers are only 3-14 in their previous 17 trips to Indy.
