Grizzlies kick off homestand vs. Heat

Nov 20, 2010 - 3:41 PM (Sports Network) - The stars will be out on Beale Street Saturday night when the Miami Heat visit the struggling Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum.

After a surprisingly slow start to the season the Heat finally seem to be finding their sea legs, winning a third consecutive game on Friday against Charlotte. LeBron James poured in 32 points in that one as Miami beat the Bobcats, 95-87, despite blowing a 21-point lead.

Chris Bosh ended with 22 points and 14 rebounds for Miami, which also received 11 points from Dwyane Wade, who was just 4-of-13 from the field as the Heat finished a long six-game homestand at 4-2.

"The most important thing about tonight was we found a way to win a grind out game that was ugly at times," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "Certainly there are some things we could do better offensively, particularly there in the fourth quarter. These games are good for us."

Memphis, which is opening up a three-game homestand tonight, dropped its fifth consecutive game in Washington against the John Wall-less Wizards last night. Gilbert Arenas poured in 24 points in that one as the Wizards held on for an 89-86 win.

Zach Randolph had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who also received 16 points and eight boards from Marc Gasol.

"Mistakes we're making down the stretch do hurt us," Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley said. "It's starting to hurt us a lot down the stretch. We have to be more disciplined when it comes down to the last couple minutes of the game."

Memphis, which will also face Detroit and Golden State on its residency, has won four of the six games in the series.
