Banged-up Heat host Pacers

Nov 22, 2010 - 4:03 PM (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat will renew their rivalry with the Indiana Pacers when the two teams collide tonight in south Florida.

Miami won all four matchups between the teams last season, while the Pacers have dropped four straight and eight of their last 10 visits to AmericanAirlines Arena.

The Heat are back home after suffering a 97-95 loss at Memphis on Saturday night, as Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay buried the game-winning jumper at the buzzer. LeBron James had 29 points and 11 assists for Miami, which had just completed a six-game homestand with a 4-2 record.

Chris Bosh and Eddie House both had 20 points and Heat All-Star guard Dwyane Wade did not play because of a wrist injury suffered in a win versus Charlotte. Wade is expected back in the lineup Monday.

"It's a tough loss," said Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra. "You have a chance with three minutes to go to close them out. We had a chance to close it out with a defensive stop and a rebound and couldn't quite get there."

Miami forward Udonis Haslem left the game with a left foot injury and X-rays were negative. Haslem apparently suffered torn ligaments and dislocated his second toe. He is out indefinitely.

Indiana just went 1-2 on a three-game homestand and has lost five of its last eight games, including Saturdays 90-86 loss versus the Orlando Magic at Conseco Fieldhouse. Jameer Nelson converted a go-ahead three-point play with 33 seconds left to lead Orlando.

Roy Hibbert had 19 points and 10 rebounds, Danny Granger had 13 points and Brandon Rush provided 14 points off the bench for the Pacers, who shot just 39.3 percent and played a third straight game without guard Darren Collison. Collison is questionable for Monday's game because of an ankle problem.

"We've got to learn to close games out," Hibbert said. "I have to learn to not make early fouls and get myself out of the ball game. It's unfortunate to sit on the bench and not be able to help when I feel my teammates need me in there. So I've got to do a better job of keeping myself in the game and not committing those fouls."

Mike Dunleavy and T.J. Ford both had 10 points in the loss.
