Rolling Thunder welcome Wolves to OKC

Nov 22, 2010 - 4:03 PM (Sports Network) - The Oklahoma City Thunder hope to have All-Star Kevin Durant back in the lineup tonight at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Durant has missed two straight games with ankle injury for Oklahoma City, which has won both games and four straight overall. In an 82-81 victory at Milwaukee on Saturday, Russell Westbrook picked up the slack once again with 18 points and six assists, while James Harden had a career-high 23 points in the win.

"That was a hard-fought game for us," said Thunder head coach Scott Brooks. "Both teams played great defense. We knew going in that we would have to bring our hard hats, and we were lucky to come away with the win."

Oklahoma City managed to record its sixth win in seven tries even though it shot 37 percent and was outrebounded, 50-43. The Thunder were coming off a win at Boston and will also welcome Dallas to OKC.

Durant, the reigning NBA scoring champion, and forward Jeff Green are questionable for tonight. Green is also nursing a sprained left ankle and has missed four games in a row.

Minnesota, meanwhile, has lost three of four games and is coming off Fridays 112-95 loss versus Kobe Bryant and the two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers in the Twin Cities.

Darko Milicic led the way with a career-high 23 points, 16 rebounds and a career-best six blocks for Minnesota, which got no points and seven boards from Kevin Love. Michael Beasley had 25 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.

"They're the world champions and they played like that. They did a great job on the defensive end, but they were really hitting shots," Love said.

The TWolves had 17 turnovers and are a lowly 4-10 on the season.

Oklahoma City won all four meetings with Minnesota last season and is 12-3 in the past 15 games in this series. Minnesota has lost nine of 11 and 14 of the last 19 road meetings.
