Sliding Bucks vie to bounce back vs. Bobcats

Nov 27, 2010 - 3:53 PM (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Bucks will try to avoid a sixth straight loss when they play host to the Charlotte Bobcats tonight from the Bradley Center.

The losing trend continued with last night's 103-89 setback against the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills, as Brandon Jennings collected a game-high 25 points and added six assists for the Bucks, who fell to 5-10 on the season and lost both tests on a quick road trip.

"We have to stay focused. We have to stay engaged," Jennings said. "We have to start on the defensive end first and then things will come. You know tonight we got where we wanted it but we didn't finish."

Ersan Ilyasova had 14 points and John Salmons added 11 in the loss. Corey Maggette surpassed 12,000 points in his career with 10. Center Andrew Bogut did not play for Milwaukee because of back and elbow injuries and is questionable for Saturday. He has missed back-to-back contests.

Milwaukee is 3-4 in the Land of Cheese this season.

Meanwhile, the Bobcats won for the second time in five tries with Friday's 99-89 home win over the Houston Rockets.

Boris Diaw scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Gerald Wallace also had a double-double with 21 points and 14 boards. Stephen Jackson added 16 points and D.J. Augustin dished out 11 assists with five points for the Bobcats, who stopped a two-game losing streak.

"The second half we didn't foul, we didn't give up second shots and we defended," said Charlotte head coach Larry Brown.

The Bobcats will try to halt a two-game slide on the road and are 3-5 outside of Time Warner Cable Arena this season.

Milwaukee defeated Charlotte, 98-88, on Oct. 30 this season and has won 17 of the previous 23 meetings between the clubs. The Bobcats are winless in their last six trips to the Bradley Center.

Charlotte is only 1-11 in 12 tries as the guest in this series.
