Wolves and Thunder tangle at Target Center

Dec 8, 2010 - 4:04 PM (Sports Network) - The Oklahoma City Thunder shoot for their seventh straight win over the Northwest Division-rival Minnesota Timberwolves when the two clubs collide tonight in the Twin Cities.

Oklahoma City recorded its sixth straight win over Minnesota with a 117-107 victory on Nov. 22 in the OKC and is 14-4 in the past 18 matchups with the Timberwolves, who have dropped three in a row as the host in this series.

The Thunder, however, have lost two of three games and are coming off Monday's 99-90 loss in Chicago. Kevin Durant scored 29 points with five rebounds, Nenad Krstic contributed 18 points and six rebounds and Russell Westbrook added 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds in defeat.

"We got looks but we couldn't hit them when they needed to be made," Thunder head coach Scott Brooks said.

Oklahoma City is 0-1 on a three-game road trip and will also visit New Orleans. It is 7-4 as the visitor in 2010-11.

Minnesota will begin a short homestand tonight versus the Thunder and Pistons, and owns a 4-5 mark at Target Center this season.

The Timberwolves have lost seven of eight games, including Monday's 121-114 loss at New York. Kevin Love scored a career-high 33 points and grabbed 15 boards, while Michael Beasley tallied 25 points and six rebounds. Luke Ridnour had 16 points for Minnesota, which had 17 turnovers and will visit Detroit on Friday.

"The thing that has hurt us the most has been turnovers," said Timberwolves head coach Kurt Rambis. "It has plagued us as a young team."

Minnesota center Darko Milicic is doubtful for Wednesday's game with a bruised right quadriceps.
