Grizzlies pay a visit to Pacers

Dec 26, 2010 - 4:04 PM (Sports Network) - The Memphis Grizzlies hope to put the brakes on a three- game losing streak when they pay a visit to the Indiana Pacers Sunday evening from Conseco Fieldhouse.

Memphis dropped a 101-94 decision to New Jersey on Tuesday, as Marc Gasol finished with 19 points and O.J. Mayo chipped in 17 points off the bench in a losing effort. Mike Conley had 13 points and eight assists for the Grizzlies, who are winless in their last three games following a four-game win streak.

"They outplayed us and outworked us," Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph said after the Nets snapped a 10-game road losing streak at FedEx Forum.

Randolph contributed 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Rudy Gay posted 11 points, nine boards, four steals and four blocks in his return from a one-game suspension. The Grizzlies will try to work on their 4-11 road record this evening.

After holding five straight opponents under 100 points, the Grizzlies have lost three consecutive games, surrendering more than 100 points each time. They also lead the league in steals (9.41), forced turnovers (17.4) and points off turnovers (19.7).

Indiana will continue a three-game homestand tonight and opened the residency with Monday's 94-93 triumph over New Orleans. Mike Dunleavy was the hero, tipping in a Danny Granger jumper that just beat the buzzer.

"This was the best Christmas gift I could have gotten," Pacers forward Jeff Foster said. "Mike saved the day."

Dunleavy scored eight points, while Granger had 27 and Darren Collison chipped in 18 points for the Pacers, who won for the second time in six tries. Collison is probable for tonight's game with a left ankle ailment and the Pacers are also slated to host Boston.

Indiana is 8-6 at home in 2010-11.

Memphis won both meetings with Indiana a season ago and is 4-1 in the previous five matchups between the teams. The Grizzlies, however, have lost 12 of the 14 encounters with the Pacers in Indy.
