Raptors make a stop in Memphis

Dec 27, 2010 - 4:09 PM (Sports Network) - The struggling Toronto Raptors kick off a three-game road trip tonight when they face off with the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum.

The Raptors are coming off their second straight loss, a 115-93 setback to Detroit north of the border last Wednesday when Richard Hamilton made a career-high six three-pointers en route to a season-high 35 points.

Linas Kleiza finished with 19 points and five rebounds for Toronto, which has lost eight of 10 overall. Leandro Barbosa scored 21 points off the bench and Andrea Bargnani, who has been struggling with a calf injury, ended with 16 points.

The Raptors, who were without guards Sonny Weems (back) and Jerryd Bayless (food poisoning), turned the ball over 24 times, leading to 41 Detroit points.

"Our best players have been banged up a little bit, Jose (Calderon) and Andrea (Bargnani), and they both had horrible games," Raptors head coach Jay Triano said.

Bargnani has been ruled out of tonight's contest while both Weems and Bayless are questionable.

Toronto, which is just 3-10 on the road this season, will also visit Dallas and Houston on its trek.

The Grizzlies, meanwhile, snapped a three-game skid in Indiana on Sunday when Rudy Gay scored a game-high 30 points as Memphis topped the Pacers, 104-90.

Indianapolis native Zach Randolph notched a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds and Marc Gasol finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Memphis, which got 10 assists from Mike Conley

"Our focus was to come in and get a good start," Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins said. "(The Pacers) are a good ball movement team and we didn't want to play from beyond."

The Grizzlies, who are unbeaten in the past three meetings with the Raptors, have taken six of the past seven tilts with Toronto in Memphis.
