Delfino's three-point shooting lifts Bucks over Clippers

Feb 15, 2011 - 5:36 AM Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Carlos Delfino hit seven three-pointers on his way to a 26-point, nine-rebound effort, and the Bucks pulled away from the Clippers early in the fourth quarter to earn a 102-78 victory.

Brandon Jennings poured in 20 points and John Salmons added 16 points and 12 assists for Milwaukee, which snapped a three-game skid by outscoring the Clippers by 18 points over the final 12 minutes.

"It was clear right from the beginning that we were focused and playing at a different level than we've played at recently," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said.

Blake Griffin totaled 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Baron Davis went for 22 points with six assists as Los Angeles fell to 1-6 to start its 11-game road trip.

Jon Brockman's late tip-in gave the hosts a 71-65 lead heading to the final stanza, and the Bucks -- namely Delfino -- quickly used the three-point ball to blow the game open.

"Fourth quarters kill us. When the game gets a little tight, we don't execute as well," Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said.

DeAndre Jordan opened the fourth quarter scoring with a dunk, but the Clippers went the next seven minutes without hitting a field goal

Delfino hit three-pointers on back-to-back possessions to start a 14-1 run that put the Bucks on top, 85-68, with eight minutes to play, and it remained a double-digit affair from there.

The Clippers committed 20 turnovers to Milwaukee's 11.

Jennings had half of Milwaukee's 22 points in the first quarter, and the Bucks never trailed in the second frame en route to a 47-45 lead at halftime.
