Bucks host Pistons at Bradley Center

Mar 1, 2011 - 4:08 PM (Sports Network) - A pair of struggling Central Division teams square off in the Badger State Tuesday when the Milwaukee Bucks play host to a Detroit Pistons club embroiled in controversy.

The Bucks opened up a four-game homestand Saturday by falling to the Central- leading Chicago Bulls 83-75 when Luol Deng scored 19 points and MVP candidate Derrick Rose added 17, as the Bulls remained unbeaten against Central Division competition.

Luc Mbah a Moute ended with 16 points for the Bucks, who scored their fewest points of the season en route to their sixth setback in eight games. Andrew Bogut had 16 rebounds for Milwaukee, but he went just 2-of-10 from the field and had only six points. John Salmons, meanwhile, scored 14 points.

"Their defense is unbelievable this year and on the offensive rebounding really hurt us more than anything," Bucks guard Earl Boykins said. "It's tough to overcome."

Milwaukee, which will finish its residency with games against Phoenix and Boston, is 14-14 as the host on the season.

The Pistons snapped a three-game skid on Saturday when Rodney Stuckey finished with a game-high 28 points, eight assists and five rebounds as Detroit edged the Utah Jazz, 120-116, at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Austin Daye added 11 of his 18 points in the last quarter while Ben Gordon contributed 17 for Detroit, which rebounded from its disheartening 110-94 loss at Philadelphia on Friday. Charlie Villanueva posted 16 points in a reserve role and rookie Greg Monroe supplied 12 points with a game-high 16 rebounds.

The Pistons used nine players, one night after they only dressed six due to a reported boycott from several players under a protest of head coach John Kuester. But in the win, the Pistons' players were all smiles as they shot a solid 50 percent from the field and 64.7 percent from three-point range.

"It's a great win," Kuester said. "We have had a lot of interesting things happen to our team recently. The guys that played tonight, god bless them, they gave me everything they had tonight."

Detroit snapped an 11-game skid against the Jazz, beating them for the first time since March 13, 2005.

Stuckey, Daye and Chris Wilcox were back in the lineup after missing the game in Philly, while Ben Wallace remained unavailable following the death of his brother. Tayshaun Prince (back) and Tracy McGrady (illness), the reported leader of the mutiny, also did not play against the Jazz.

The Pistons hope to have McGrady and Wallace back tonight while Prince will be a game-time decision.

Detroit has won four of five over the Bucks, including both meetings this season.
