Bucks entertain Celtics at Bradley Center

Mar 6, 2011 - 4:01 PM (Sports Network) - The Boston Celtics aim for their fifth straight win Sunday when they square off with the Milwaukee Bucks in the Badger State.

Paul Pierce and Ray Allen both scored 27 points on Friday as the Celtics held off Golden State in Beantown, 107-103, for their fourth straight win.

"We thought we had the game in hand, even when it was close, you could still see it," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. "We won the game so you take the win. The only thing I told our team after the game was that when we have a lead, our starters have to come out and really play the same way."

Jeff Green had his best game since joining the Celtics last week, as he posted 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting off the bench. Rajon Rondo contributed 16 assists and five steals for Boston, a winner in seven of its last eight contests overall.

"He's a gazelle," Rivers told NBA.com when talking about Green. "I mean, the guy can absolutely fly. And our guys know that now and you can see them, they're giving it to him."

On the injury front for Boston center Shaquille O'Neal, who turns 39 today, is expected to miss his 13th straight game with an Achilles' problem, while Big Baby Davis is set to miss his second straight game with patellar tendinitis in his left knee.

The Bucks, meanwhile, continue to struggle and fell to 1-2 on a four-game homestand Friday when Channing Frye totaled 20 points and nine rebounds and Mickael Pietrus supplied 20 points and eight boards as Phoenix used a huge third quarter to engineer a 102-88 comeback victory over Milwaukee.

Corey Maggette contributed 21 points and nine rebounds off the bench, and Brandon Jennings tallied 16 points for the Bucks, who have dropped three of their last four contests overall.

"We had a bunch of breakdowns on both ends," said Milwaukee head coach Scott Skiles. "We kind of go into dribble-mania and then we don't shoot the ball too much and let them have their way."

Boston, the NBA"s stingiest defensive team, allowing just 91.7 points per game, has won nine of its last 12 versus the Bucks, the league's worst offensive club at 91.4 points per contest.
