Wade, Heat rout Grizzlies

Mar 13, 2011 - 12:56 AM Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade totaled 28 points, nine assists and five blocks, LeBron James scored 27 points and Chris Bosh recorded a double- double, as Miami dominated Memphis, 118-85, at American Airlines Arena.

Bosh ended with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Mike Bibby went 5-for-5 from behind the arc en route to a 17-point effort for the Heat, who never showed signs of a letdown following Thursday's win over the Lakers.

O.J. Mayo notched 19 points to lead the Grizzlies, who have dropped two in a row for the first time in over a month.

"We were just out of sync. We didn't make shots we normally make," said Grizzlies guard Mike Conley, who shot 1-for-11 from the field.

The Heat snapped an ugly five-game skid against Los Angeles and continued their winning ways in impressive fashion against an upstart Grizzlies club.

They shot 12-of-18 from the field in the first quarter, which ended with the hosts holding a 28-22 lead, then blew the game open with a 17-3 run late in the second stanza.

Memphis was within five, 37-32, prior to Bibby bookending the pivotal flurry with three-pointers.

Wade, James and Bosh each netted 14 points in the first half, and the Heat stepped on the gas in the third, as a 15-2 spurt opened up a 27-point lead.

James scored the first seven during the stretch, and Mario Chalmers ended it with a free throw for a 70-43 game after Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins was hit with a technical foul.

The difference was 84-60 heading to a final stanza that saw little drama.

"My philosophy right now is do not let go of this rope," Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said. "We have to keep moving forward and build these habits. We understand we need to get better, and part of that is mental resiliency and mental toughness."

Game Notes

Miami ends a six-game homestand against the Spurs and Oklahoma City on Monday and Wednesday, respectively...These teams have split the season series the last three seasons...Miami made 12 three-pointers to Memphis' one...Zach Randolph contributed 13 points and nine rebounds for the Grizzlies, who got 15 and seven from Marc Gasol...Memphis last lost two straight in the first week of February against the Rockets and Lakers.
