Reeling Bobcats host Magic

Apr 6, 2011 - 3:09 PM (Sports Network) - The fourth-seeded Orlando Magic hope to put the brakes on a three-game road losing streak tonight, when they pay a visit to the Southeast Division-foe Charlotte Bobcats.

Orlando is 21-18 away from central Florida this season and must find a way to solve its road woes with the playoffs just around the corner. It is coming off Tuesday's home win over Milwaukee in which Dwight Howard led the way with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Jameer Nelson netted 17 points for the Magic, winners in seven of their last 10 games.

The victory didn't seem to impress head coach Stan Van Gundy.

"It was a very frustrating night offensively," Van Gundy said. "We were inept most of the night. We didn't shoot well, we didn't handle the ball well, we didn't make free throws. But, I thought our guys played very, very hard. Got a lot of good stops down the stretch to get the win, and that was good."

Hedo Turkoglu ended with 12 points and 10 boards in the victory.

Meanwhile, the Bobcats have lost three in a row since a four-game winning streak and sit 2 1/2 games behind Indiana for the final playoff spot in the East with five to go.

In last night's 99-89 loss in Cleveland, D.J. Augustin scored 22 points and Dante Cunningham ended with 10 and 11 rebounds for the Bobcats, who have lost seven of 11 games. Gerald Henderson scored 15 points and Matt Carroll registered 13 off the bench.

"We just gotta win every game we can," said Bobcats center Kwame Brown.

Charlotte is 20-18 at Time Warner Cable Arena this season. Stephen Jackson missed his third consecutive game with a hamstring injury and is doubtful for tonight. He's averaging 18.5 points this season.

Orlando is trying to sweep the season series from Charlotte for the second time in three years and has won three straight and 10 of the past 11 matchups between the two rivals.

The Magic are unbeaten in their last five contests at the Bobcats.
