Trail Blazers re-sign F Outlaw

Jul 18, 2007 - 10:33 PM PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) The Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday re-signed forward Travis Outlaw to a three-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Outlaw, 22, averaged a career-best 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game last season. He led the team with 74 total blocked shots and logged a career-high 36 points to go with 10 rebounds in the season finale.

"Travis enjoyed what we feel was a breakout season last year on both ends of the floor," Portland general manager Kevin Pritchard said. "His athleticism and high-flying style of play add another level of excitement to the team and we are thrilled to have him back."

Outlaw was selected by the Trail Blazers with the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2003 draft. He has averaged 6.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 203 games with the Trail Blazers.
