Rockets try to rebound in visit to Bucks

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Rockets don't have much time to dwell on their recent loss and will pay a visit to the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday night at the Bradley Center.

The Rockets dropped a 102-85 decision to the Los Angeles Clippers Friday night in the finale of a five-game homestand (3-2). Clippers forward Blake Griffin powered his way to 30 points and 10 rebounds, while the Rockets were led by James Harden's 16 points and six assists.

Trevor Ariza and Isaiah Canaan scored 13 points apiece for the Rockets, who shot 39 percent and committed 15 turnovers.

"(It) was tough game for us," said Harden. "We were getting tired a little bit (in the fourth)."

Canaan is expected to miss Saturday's game with a left ankle injury.

Houston is 6-1 on the road this season and first in opponents' scoring (92.2).

The Bucks are on a roll of late with three straight wins and eight in the last 11 tries. In Friday's 104-88 beating of the Detroit Pistons, Ersan Ilyasova had 22 points and eight rebounds off the bench and reserve Jared Dudley added 16 points.

Milwaukee held a 69-13 advantage in bench points.

"We got a lot of great looks. Guys were sharing the ball," Bucks coach Jason Kidd said.

Rookie Jabari Parker was held to eight points and Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with seven.

The Bucks shot 50.6 percent from the field and lost both meetings with Houston a season ago. The Rockets are 14-4 in the last 18 meetings between the teams and have won six of the previous eight trips to Brew City.

Rockets center Dwight Howard (knee) is still nursing an injury and is expected to miss Saturday's game. He has missed five straight games and is posting an average of 18.8 points and 11.3 rebounds.
