Draymond Green posted 20 points and six rebounds, while Klay Thompson added 15 points for the Warriors, who have won their last nine games, finishing up a perfect five-game road trip.
"It's showing the character of this team to keep winning games that are obviously tough considering the situation," Curry said. "We're happy to have done so well on the trip going home."
Brandon Jennings tallied 22 points and six helpers, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope netted 23 points and Greg Monroe supplied 13 points and 10 boards for Detroit, which has dropped eight in a row.
"We've got a real problem scoring in the paint and even closer," said Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy. "I don't have an answer to that."
The Pistons raced out to an 18-10 advantage before a 10-2 Golden State run tied the game at 20-20.
Detroit led 24-21 following a quarter of play, but Marreese Speights scored the first four points and Shaun Livingston netted the final four during a 13-3 surge to begin the second. Two Livingston free throws staked Detroit to a 34-27 cushion.
Golden State closed the opening half on a 10-1 swing, with Green's floater at the horn extending its lead to 53-40 heading into the locker room.
The Warriors led by as many as 22 in the third and took an 82-71 spread into the fourth, where they cruised to the easy victory.
