Clippers rout Magic

Dec 4, 2014 - 7:18 AM Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Blake Griffin had 21 points and the Los Angeles Clippers led wire-to-wire in a 114-86 victory over the Orlando Magic.

Griffin also pulled down eight rebounds and dished out six assists for the Clippers, who have won six in a row. J.J. Redick made four 3-pointers en route to 20 points, Chris Paul tallied 19 points and 10 assists and Matt Barnes scored 17 points.

"We're doing a better job of executing," said Griffin. "We are becoming more and more comfortable with who we are."

Tobias Harris ended with 16 points and eight boards for the Magic, who fell to 1-3 on their six-game road trip. Ben Gordon and Victor Oladipo each had 11 points.

The Clippers jumped out to an 18-3 lead thanks to Griffin and Redick, who each scored 12 points in the first quarter. Los Angeles shot 65 percent from the field over the first 12 minutes to take a 31-23 lead.

The margin reached 36-23 in the early stages of the second stanza. However, Orlando responded with a 12-2 run to get within 38-35.

The Clippers, though, regained control with a 19-9 spurt to end the half. Paul tallied seven points during the surge that DeAndre Jordan capped with a free throw for a 57-44 advantage.

Los Angeles outscored Orlando by a 57-42 margin in the second half.

"They (the Clippers) played extremely well," said Magic coach Jacque Vaughn. "Their ball movement was pretty good."

Game Notes

The Clippers have won three straight against Orlando ... Magic center Nikola Vucevic (back spasms) missed his second straight game ... Jordan had eight points and 16 rebounds.
