Plumlee, Nets down Kings
Dec 30, 2014 - 6:02 AM Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Mason Plumlee had 22 points and the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Sacramento Kings 107-99 on Monday night.Joe Johnson posted 16 points and six assists, while Jarrett Jack added 16 points for the Nets, who have won four of their last five games on the heels of a three-game losing skid.
"I thought we did a good job of executive," Jack said. "Defense helped put us in a good rhythm."
Brooklyn posted 25 points off 21 Sacramento turnovers.
"That's too many," Kings coach Tyrone Corbin said of the turnovers.
DeMarcus Cousins tallied 24 points and 13 rebounds and Rudy Gay provided 25 points, nine boards and five assists for Sacramento, which has dropped eight of its last 10 games.

The Kings held a 28-27 edge following a quarter of play, but the Nets closed the opening half on an 11-0 run to seize control.
Plumlee, who had six points during the surge, netted the final four to stake Brooklyn to a 57-44 halftime cushion.
Sacramento never got within less than five the rest of the way.
Brooklyn took an 82-69 margin into the fourth. Gay knocked down a trey to whittle the gap to 93-88 with 5:12 left, but Mirza Teletovic sandwiched triples around a pair of Gay foul shots to increase the advantage to 99-90.
The Nets cruised down the stretch from there.
