Bucks begin homestand versus Boston

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Bucks will start a five-game homestand Saturday versus the Boston Celtics at the Bradley Center.

The Bucks will also host Brooklyn, Sacramento, Denver and Atlanta, and are 12-10 at home this season.

Milwaukee had a five-game winning streak come to an end with Friday's 117-111 loss at Houston. James Harden led the Rockets with 33 points and Trevor Ariza ended with 24 for Houston, which made 50.6 percent from the field.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led seven Milwaukee players in double figures with 27 points to go along with 15 rebounds. Jorge Gutierrez and Jerryd Bayless scored 13 points apiece off the bench in the loss.

"We had our opportunities," said Bucks head coach Jason Kidd. "I'm proud of the guys. We made a game of it."

The Bucks owned a 60-46 advantage in the paint and shot 50.5 percent.

Bucks center Larry Sanders (suspension) is eligible to return for Saturday's game against Boston. The suspension will not end until Sanders is in "full compliance" with his treatment program, a league spokesman confirmed Friday.

Boston has won three in a row and posted a 107-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Friday night at TD Garden.

Jared Sullinger had 22 points, Avery Bradley scored 18 and both Tyler Zeller and Marcus Thornton netted 16 points. Boston scored 32 points in the fourth quarter and led by as many as 26 points in the first half. The Sixers, who managed just 15 points in the first quarter, fought back and made it 83-80 on a Hollis Thompson 3-pointer midway through the fourth, but Boston pulled away.

"I was really happy with how we responded (to the Sixers' comeback)," Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said. "I thought we responded really well."

The Celtics recorded 20 points off 17 Sixers turnovers and are 8-15 away from home this season. They will host Atlanta on Wednesday.

Boston and Milwaukee will play the first of three matchups this season and are slated to meet again April 3 and 15.
