Bosh, Heat down Knicks
Feb 10, 2015 - 5:40 AM Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Bosh posted 32 points and six assists as the Miami Heat snapped a three-game losing skid with a 109-95 win over the lowly New York Knicks.Mario Chalmers had 18 points, six assists and five rebounds while Norris Cole and Luol Deng scored 12 points apiece.
Miami was without All-Star guard Dwyane Wade for the sixth straight game. Wade has been sidelined with a strained right hamstring and is questionable to play in the All-Star game next Sunday.
Bosh scored Miami's first seven points of the fourth quarter and put the game away at 4:18 with a deep triple. He then put the finishing touches on his terrific night with an elbow jumper on the next possession to push the lead to 98-84.
"We just made simple plays," said Bosh.
Carmelo Anthony paced the Knicks with 26 points before departing in the fourth quarter to get his left knee examined. Amar'e Stoudemire added 14 off the bench as the Knicks fell for the fourth straight game.
"It was just one of those nights where it felt good, everything felt good, up until that point," said Anthony, who had missed multiple games this season with sore knees.
Anthony shot out of the gate like a cannon, sinking all four of his 3-point tries and pouring in 14 points in the first quarter. The Knicks led by as many as 14 and took a 32-23 lead into the second.
Cole's 3-pointer at 5:20 of the second had Miami back within three, and New York's once-comfortable lead was down to 56-52 at halftime.
Trailing by two late in the third quarter, Danny Granger hit a pair of free throws and Chalmers canned a 3 to make put the hosts up 77-74. They led the rest of the way.
