Brewer, Rockets top Raptors

Feb 22, 2015 - 3:45 AM Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Corey Brewer had 26 points, 10 rebounds and five steals as the Houston Rockets defeated the Toronto Raptors 98-76 on Saturday night.

James Harden posted 20 points and seven assists, while Donatas Motiejunas added 12 points and 11 boards for the Rockets, who had dropped three of their last four games.

James Johnson provided 27 points and five rebounds for Toronto, which had its four-game winning streak snapped.

The Rockets, who led 20-18 following a quarter of play and 40-36 at the break, began to pull away at the end of the third.

After Patrick Patterson's tip-in pulled Toronto within 56-52, Houston closed the frame on a 12-1 run. Harden netted seven points during the surge, which was capped on Brewer's reverse layup for a 68-53 cushion.

A 7-0 Rockets spurt extended the margin to 75-55 with 8:49 remaining and they cruised to the victory from there.
