Celtics pay a visit to Magic

Mar 8, 2015 - 2:58 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Celtics will resume a three-game road trip Sunday against the Orlando Magic.

The Celtics opened the trip with a 104-98 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.

Isaiah Thomas scored 27 points for Boston, which posted its fifth win in the last seven games. Brandon Bass had 17 points, Evan Turner scored 16 and Jae Crowder added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Celtics.

"The guys did a great job of doing what we wanted to do throughout the night," said Celtics coach Brad Stevens."

Boston will close the trip Monday in Miami.

The Magic will close out a four-game homestand Sunday and put the brakes on a four-game slide with Friday's 119-114 victory over Sacramento.

Tobias Harris buried a go-ahead 3-pointer with 28.9 seconds left and Victor Oladipo poured in 32 points. Channing Frye chipped in 22 points and 10 rebounds for Orlando. Harris added 19 points and rookie Elfrid Payton delivered 12 assists along with 10 points.

"That's about trust, and that's about trust that we have as a team, (our) chemistry," Harris said. "Victor was having a great game, and he trusts me to make that shot."

Oladipo was coming off a career-high 38-point performance Wednesday against Phoenix.

Boston has won 12 of the last 14 games against Orlando.
