Green, Spurs down Bucks

Mar 19, 2015 - 5:33 AM Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Danny Green had 20 points and eight rebounds and the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 114-103 on Wednesday night.

Tim Duncan posted 19 points, seven assists and five boards, while Boris Diaw added 18 points, six rebounds and five helpers for San Antonio, which is 2-2 since a six-game winning streak.

"We shot the ball better and played much better defense. It is what we expect from our team," Duncan said.

Giannis Antetokounmpo supplied 19 points and eight rebounds for the Bucks, who have dropped four straight.

"They are the world champs, move the ball as well as anyone," Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd said.

The Spurs, who trailed 28-27 following a quarter of play, began to pull away during the latter stages of the second quarter.

After a Michael Carter-Williams reverse layup pulled the Bucks within 51-49 at the 3:04 mark, San Antonio ripped off eight straight points for its first double-digit lead of the game.

Duncan began the flurry with a pair of short baskets and Reggie Williams capped it with a layup for a 59-49 advantage.

The Spurs led 63-54 at the break and were up by as many as 19 in the third before settling for a 91-80 margin heading into the fourth.

Milwaukee never got within less than nine in the final frame.

San Antonio improved to 12-6 on the second night of a back-to-back, while Milwaukee fell to 6-13 ... The Spurs have beaten the Bucks six straight times ... San Antonio was 30-of-38 (78.9 percent) from the foul line ... Tony Parker netted 15 points for the Spurs.
