Warriors re-sign F Pietrus

Oct 2, 2007 - 3:56 AM OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Golden State Warriors re-signed restricted free agent swingman Mickael Pietrus, the team announced on Monday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We're pleased that we were able to re-sign Mickael," executive vice president of basketball operations Chris Mullin said. "We've stated all along this offseason that we like Mickael and what he brings to our team.

"We look forward to him building on last season and continuing to improve along with the rest of our team."

Pietrus, 25, averaged career highs in points (11.1), rebounds (4.5) and minutes (26.9) last season. The guard-forward also set new career highs in field goal percentage (49 percent), 3-point percentage (39 percent) and games played (72).

A four-year veteran, Pietrus also appeared in all 11 of Golden State's playoff contests, averaging 6.0 points in 19.0 minutes. The Warriors upset the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in one of the most shocking upsets in postseason history last May.
