NBA Note - Charlotte Hornets Paige, Marcus
Aug 3, 2017 - 12:06 AM G Marcus Paige was signed to a two-way contract by the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. The 6-foot-1, 164-pound Paige was originally drafted in the second round (55th overall) in 2016 by the Brooklyn Nets, with his draft rights being traded to Utah the following day. Paige, 23, appeared in 46 games (40 starts) with the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League last season, averaging 12.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 32.7 minutes. The Marion, Iowa, native played four collegiate seasons at North Carolina (2012-16), averaging 13.1 points, 4.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 141 games and helping the Tar Heels to a 2016 NCAA Championship Game appearance as a senior.No one has shouted yet.
