Blazers F Vonleh suffers shoulder injury
Sep 23, 2017 - 12:57 AM Portland Trail Blazers forward Noah Vonleh will miss all of preseason camp and is likely to miss the first two weeks of the regular season after suffering a right shoulder strain, multiple media outlets reported Friday.Vonleh sustained the injury while playing a pick-up game at the team's practice facility.
The injury will not require surgery, but he is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
Vonleh, the No. 9 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft, started 41 of the 74 games he played for Portland last season, and he was a bigger factor late in the season. He averaged 4.4 points and 5.2 rebounds in 2016-17.
Any one of a number of players could fill Vonleh's spot in the starting lineup. Al-Farouq Aminu, Ed Davis, Meyers Leonard, Caleb Swanigan and Evan Turner are among the candidates.
No one has shouted yet.
